Program Expectations
Above all, be awesome!
Off-Season Activities
-It is the coaching staff’s understanding that our players have multiple commitments and are not always able to attend off-season training; however, all players will be held accountable for not beginning our season physically prepared. The coaching staff will provide numerous training activities for players to get involved. Below are the program expectations.
- Players must meet or show significant improvement on all physical checkpoints at the start of each season to be considered for the varsity program. Any player not able to do so will not start the first scrimmage and will be given reduced minutes. This may play a role in that player’s ability to make the varsity squad.
- Players should make every attempt to participate in the off-season activities provided by the coaching staff. Points will be assigned to each activity. Any player not able to accumulate at least half of the available points will not start the first scrimmage and will be given reduced minutes.
- Players who play club soccer will not be given special consideration and should make every attempt to participate with the school team as well as their club teams. The most important part of our soccer program are the bonds we form on and off the field. Your participation is imperative.
Healthy Minds
-The game of soccer is a players’ game and requires that all players work to maintain a healthy, positive mindset and attitude.
- Players are expected to support one another on and off of the field
- Players are expected to use positive criticism when when speaking to themselves, coaches, and other players
- Players should expect to win each time they take the field, and work toward that goal each time they train and play
- Players should always train as if they were playing a real game in order to work to their full potential.
